Structure and content

In addition to traditional lectures, problem- and project-oriented teaching methods are also used. Building on the knowledge acquired in the bachelor's programme, technical and scientific working methods are consolidated in a practical and research-oriented manner. Students acquire and deepen their skills in the fields of design, manufacturing, calculation, simulation and energy technology, as well as problem-solving and presentation techniques. New lectures such as operational stability and digital factory, as well as internships in areas such as the CAQ laboratory, guarantee an engineering education at a high technical level.

In almost all modules, contemporary project-based teaching takes place in a wide variety of forms:

Admission Requirements

  • Qualified, good or very good university degree in mechanical engineering or related technical subjects
  • University degree with at least 180 ECTS (usually at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
  • Please note that degrees from foreign universities must be recognised by the Studienkolleg in Konstanz
  • A good command of the German language. Proof is provided by means of the evidence listed in § 1 of the "Statutes on the required language skills for studying at Reutlingen University"
