Admission Requirements

  • Qualified, good or very good university degree in mechanical engineering or related technical subjects
  • University degree with at least 180 ECTS (usually at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
  • Degrees from foreign universities must be recognised by the Studienkolleg in Konstanz
  • Proven sufficient knowledge of German. This can be demonstrated in accordance with § 1 of the statutes on the language skills required for studying at Reutlingen University.

Your qualification profile

The Master's programme is suitable for graduates who have already successfully completed a first degree in mechanical engineering or related technical subjects with a Bachelor's or Diploma degree. You can choose either product development or energy technology as your specialisation.

Modern technological society would be inconceivable without mechanical engineering. From power plants to pacemakers, machines and systems play an important role in almost all areas. Fields of work can be found in mechanical and plant engineering, design, product development, quality testing and technical consulting.
